Thursday. As one of the metro area’s most consistently visible, intelligently booked cultural venues, the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities has a lot to be proud of over its four-decade history. The center, which hosts everything from nationally touring musicians to local dance shows and art exhibits, will hold a free open house on Sept. 15 that lets visitors tour the Center by peeking into dance classes, art galleries, the ceramics studio (with in-house artist John Hamilton) and an interactive Arts Day workshop. An open rehearsal of “Tartuffe” will take place from 7-8 p.m. to preview the Black Box Repertory season. 6-9 p.m. at 6901 Wadsworth Blvd. arvadacenter.org
