This year some odd material featured will be items like tennis balls, film, carpet and Chocolove gold foil, said Tanja Leonard, a parent mentor.

Leonard became involved in Recycled Runway in its third year when her daughter was a designer.

“She’s always been interested in fashion,” said Leonard. “This was a perfect segue, because now she’s at the Fashion Institute of Technology.”
