The biggest music event in the high country this weekend is undoubtedly the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, featuring sets from Train (Sept. 2), the Killers and Thievery Corporation (Sept. 3) and Stevie Wonder with Duran Duran and Corinne Bailey Rae (Sept. 4). Tickets are $80-$250, and $10-$35 for kids’ passes. Call 866-527-8499 or visit axs.com.

But there’s also the Vail Jazz Party, a KUVO 89.3 FM-sponsored event at (and around) Vail Square that features more than 40 artists and 35 hours of music, plus screenings, tributes, receptions and multimedia presentations. Tickets are $55-$400 at 888-824-5526 or vailjazz.org.
